Popular with young and trendy Thai locals and a familiar menu for western visitors. It is a treehouse perched amongst the foliage, where a hot, or cold caffeinated beverage can be enjoyed. You have the options of sitting outside or enjoying inside with air con if necessary.
As you walk through the elevated maze-like route, you see the different types of seating to suit all people; from ordinary tables and chairs to sitting on bamboo with your legs crossed.

There is a swimming pool so don’t forget to bring your swimmers. It’s perfect for those hot days when you just need to cool off while waiting for your food or drinks. Also you will find salas, sitting areas, raised decked areas and even a quite charming stream out back. The stream can be accessed via a deck that allows one to dangle their legs and enjoy the current.
Getting There
From Ao Nang Beach it’s less than a 10 km ride, options include hiring a motorbike or hiring a car. It’s definitely what’s considered “known by locals”, but a great find and well worth the effort to get there. The prices at Baan Ton Mai Cafe are modest with a decent food menu to peruse.
