A review of Lanta Village

Koh Lanta Village presents a cute avenues of huts that are handy to some of the night life of Koh Lanta. Perfect for family getaways.

Lanta Village is a new brand to Koh Lanta, based on a property built some years ago, the arrangement is very much like a village, with individual bungalows arranged in a avenue fashion. Its a little bit quaint with a homely village feel, quite perfect if you are travelling with friends.

It boosts 2 swimming pools, one near the front gate and one in the middle of the compound, near the larger room sizes.

The accommodation in Lanta Village is modest but comfortable, it has the necessities of wi-fi, hot water and working air-con. From the outside it has its own charm, a mini house if you will.

Inside there is plenty of room actually, even though it looks small from the outside!

The whole Lanta Village contains the peace and quiet you are perhaps looking for, and right outside the front gate, its convenient to a bunch of places that will make your stay enjoyable.

Local Restaurants

Close by you have a wonderful little food shop call Sununtha Restaurant, its full of inexpensive honest to goodness thai food, not the over-priced and watered down tourist tripe you might see in some places.

Its all served with a smiley Khun Rak and his wife Khun Naa and if you stick to some of their southern specialities, you’re also sure to be delighted. I tried their massaman with meat and for 90 Baht it was a full dish that couldn’t not be finished, we also had their Tom Yum Pla, a proper zesty Tom Yum full of flavour. They have been operating for 7 years and you are sure to get a good family credibly service there.
