View Point Restaurant offers great views with pitstop for a meal or coffee whilst on your motorbike adventure around Koh Lanta.
If you are travelling around Koh Lanta, you will most likely decide to trust your life to a motorbike and embark upon your epic Koh Lanta adventure. There is also a good chance you will at some point head towards the East side of the island. As you navigate this journey, you will pass through the middle of the island as you seek the other side. During your travels, you will round a bend, and The View Restaurant and Cafe comes upon you suddenly. Actually it’s quite easy to pass, as we did. But it certainly worth stopping and turning around for.
Frequented by mostly tourists at the time of visiting, with a smattering of some locals, who are people who enjoy a discerning view. It has a lovely wooden interior that complements the surroundings with fans at the ready to ensure a gentle breeze flowing through.

You can find fantastic views of the east coast, they even have a telescope for customers to use. Proper coffee is available as well as a fair range of cocktail beverages. Coming here for breakfast is an option. A fairly typical but broad range of thai food, but also specialising in seafood, by weight. There is a small selection of non-thai food in case you’re in the mood for something else .
The beginnings
Brother and sister, Khun Yod and Khun Ja opened the restaurant 17 years open. They built it bit by bit expanding slowly, the idea came from wanting to open their own business, and work from home. They bought 7 rai of land and started from there.
It’s definitely well worth a stop at view point restaurant en-route to Old Lanta town, if you are fond of a great viewpoint with a great motorbike ride. Also a must stop for a cold drink, as the weather can be warm, especially if you’re biking around. We recommend to not overlook the great local dishes!
