It’s a resort thats a wee bit of the main area of Aonang, but that’s actually its strength. Once you are ramble on the single entry lane to the front of the resort, you immediately feel enclosed in another world. It has the slow charm that inhabits most of Thailand’s costal areas, and the resort itself is replete with wildlife. Upon checking in you are escorted to what one might describe as huts or small cabins, these are surrounded by an amount of verdant greenery so you have some privacy from your neighbours.
Hearty buffet breakfasts are offered each morning at the open-air restaurant, eggs scrambled, fried and otherwise are available to match the other thai dishes as well as an arrangement of salads if you so wish. Meals can also be served in rooms.
What you will quickly notice though is Ao Nang’s famous cliffs as a backdrop, that give a strong presence almost as an underlying theme. Set also against this backdrop is their two tiered pool, which offers end of day relaxation which is perfect after a days beach, shopping or tripping.
You will also encounter plenty of wildlife, monkeys are regular visitors and mingle playfully with the resident peacocks. There are chickens aplenty and the night sounds of the jungle will lull you to sleep at night.
The resort features free shuttles to Ao Nang Beach or as well, there are options to rent a motorcycle . All of these deal with the lack of proximately to the beach, or if with a family or group. They will happily call a taxi for you.
Long term it has potential to become a proper eco resort, but it’s off to a good start. And perhaps has the best feel of nature for all the hotels in the area.
