Bangkok has prepared medical facilities and isolation centers to treat new Covid-19 patients, with more than 25,000 beds in hospitals, field hospitals, and hospitals.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has established facilities and prepared medical personnel to handle the number of projected Covid-19 cases to increase due to events during the New Year holidays.
Department of Medical Services reported that officials prepared 25,345 beds for infected patients, with 2,922 in hospitals, 2,898 in field hospitals, and 19,525 beds in Bangkok hospitals.
The BMA has established 40 Community Isolation Centers with 5,066 beds to assist Covid-19 patients. Three of these centers are currently open, with 50 patients receiving treatment, while other facilities are on standby and ready to help within 24 hours to three days if needed.
