COVID-19 situation worsening in Krabi

308 infected cases and 3 deaths were reported on February 8, 2022, affecting the closure of 5 governmental offices. The infection is attributed to crowded places, social gatherings, nightclubs, and funerals.

For the past 5 days across 8 areas in Krabi, it is reported that average 200-300 people are infected by the Delta variant daily. Most of them have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, regarded as a green-labeled group with mild symptoms and allowed for 10 day home quarantine and close monitor by the local authority.

Five governmental offices are also affected by the worrying COVID-19 pandemic: Krabi Noi City Municipality closed from 8 to 11 February 2022, Nhua Klong Agriculture Office closed from 8 to 11 February 2022, Nhuea Klong Subdistrict Administration Organization closed from 8 to 9 February 2022, Sai Thai Subdistrict Administration Organization (Department of Permanent Secretary) closed from 8 to 11 February 2022, and Krabi Regional Marine Office closed from 8 to 10 February 2022. Active case-finding teams are on the field to conduct ATK tests and facilitate hospital admissions.

In Krabi, the accumulated total number of vaccinated residents is 363,493 people; 72.15% are the first-dose recipients, 68.64% are the second-dose ones, 15.83% are the third-dose ones, and 0.92% are the fourth-dose ones.
