Two car rally tours will be held by TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand) and state petrol company PTT from February 19-20, 2022 between Phang Nga and Krabi in order to stimulate the economy in the area and encourage business owners to distribute income to local residents.
According to TAT, people will use their private cars to reach tourist attractions in Phang Nga and Krabi. Along the way, cultural attractions, game activities such as Photo Rally style contest, action activities, and local CSR projects such as planting seagrass, visiting a goat farm, and the ‘Bead Museum’, for good products, will be introduced. Participants will stay one night in Phang Nga and head off to an Agriculture Fair in Krabi the next day for tasty food.
To join, the rally costs 1,800 THB per car with 2 people, and that includes 2 days/1 night accommodation, 3 main meals, 2 shirts, 2 hats, and registration fee. For those joining in 3 in a car, the price is 800 THB per person. For more information, please contact the STPA or call Khun Komchana at 094-59305935.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected the tourism industry of Thailand, the rally event is believed to promote economic revitalization, especially for hotels, restaurants and other businesses reliant on income from tourist attractions.
