Royal Thai Police 42, together with Krabi administrative officials arrested 8 suspects of the drug networks in the Phang Nga-Krabi area, including more than 100,000 methamphetamine pills.
On February 27, Pol. Col. Phimonrat Thammathip, Superintendent of the Royal Thai Police 42 Pol Lt. Col. Pairote Kamedraksa, Senator of the Royal Thai Police. 42, ordered Pol. Lt. Col. Boonsmith Boontra, Head of the National Police Commission of Thailand 42, Mr. Wiratchadet Boon. Rueangkhao, the bailiff of Krabi, the chief of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), and administrative officials to join the arrest of three major drug suspects, including Miss Chitralada or Som Sae-oui, 30, Mr. Jaroon or Mr. Run Ditthapan, 63, and Miss Supattra or Dear Karom, 33, who reside in Phang Nga province, along with 126,000 methamphetamine pills, 3 mobile phones, a White Suzu D-Ma. The officers made an arrest in front of the house number 206/13, Village No. 12, Krabi Noi Subdistrict, Muang District, Krabi Province, charging them with “joining to try to sell a type 1 drug (Methamphetamine or methamphetamine) and possess them for unauthorized commercial purposes.”
Before the arrest of these three suspects on February 23, 2022, the authorities arrested five drug suspects, consisting of Mr. Praphon or Donnie Santiprabha, 28, a native of Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Mr. Thichachat or Nok Somdet, 27, a native of Krabi province, Prachya or Don Panwong, 33, a native of Nonthaburi, 22-year-old Anas or Nad Chanpramong, a native of Phang-nga province, and Ms. Pranee or Sa Sangaphong, 34, a native Phuket. They were arrested at the front of the house, unknown number Charoen Sap Road, Village No. 7, Sai Thai Subdistrict, Mueang District, next to House No. 61/3, Saringkan Phatthana Road, Krabi Yai Subdistrict, Mueang District, next to House No. 206/13, Village No. 12, Krabi Noi Subdistrict, Mueang District, along with 14,226 amphetamine pills, about 5.1 grams of Ice.
Then, the authorities lured them to the other three suspects, Miss Chitralada, Mr. Charoon, and Miss Supattra, arresting them at the front of the house at 206/13 Village No. 12, Krabi Noi Subdistrict. Muang, Krabi, and seizing 126,000 methamphetamine pills hidden in a suitcase placed on the seat of a white Isuzu D-Max pickup truck. The officers took legal action against them, “jointly attempting to sell narcotics of type 1 (methamphetamine or methamphetamine) and possess them for unauthorized commercial possession,”; all the accused pleaded guilty.
For the group of the suspects arrested this time, it is considered a large drug network in the southern provinces of Krabi and Phang Nga, renting villas in Krabi province as accommodation before selling drugs to small agents in the area, which the officials will continue to suppress.
