Must-visit picturesque island: Koh Lao La Ding, Krabi

Lao La Ding Island is considered the paradise of Krabi sea as it lures people with its clear water, soft white sand, and serene environment.

Lao La Ding Island is located in Than Bok Khorani National Park, Ao Luek District, Krabi Province. It is a hidden small island with a beautiful curved beach hidden behind the limestone cliffs. Despite the concession for bird’s nest business, the gem is still open to welcome tourists. Its serene and crystal-clear light blue seawater invites every comer to dip in and chill on the white sand beach embraced by swaying palm trees. Therefore, this place has another nickname, Paradise Island.

You may also find thousands of small fish swimming together in flocks along the shore, creating some excitement for snorkelers,

especially when these schools of fish jump above the water in streaks. Some interesting jellyfish are also reported to be spotted.  As this island welcomes various visitors on a regular basis, a toilet facility and a few desks for resting and lunch eating can be conveniently found.

If you travel from Ao Nang, it will take about 30 minutes to get to this island by long speed boat. However, if coming from Hong Island, you will take 10 minutes. Koh Lao La Ding can be accessed by a purchase of a half-day or a full-day private or group tour under the package ‘Hong Islands Tour’, which is usually combined with a visit to other islands such as Koh Phak Bia and Koh Hong. Prices vary depending on the tour organizer.

It is also shared that the best time of the day to visit the island is from 8 AM – 12 PM. Please make sure you wear sunscreen as many can get sunburns. Most of the tours provide food and beverage service throughout the trip for your convenience, but it is also very great to prepare your own water to keep yourself hydrated at all times.
