The newly renovated Rajamangala Stadium was presented to the public on Tuesday (July 5). The upcoming exhibition match between Manchester United and Liverpool will be the first major event to be held at the stadium after its upgrade.
Fresh Air Festival Chairman Vinij Lertratanachai, who is organizing the upcoming match, presented the fully refurbished stadium to the public on Tuesday and showed the venue to journalists. He said that the stadium has been refurbished with soccer turf, facilities and equipment comparable to other world-class stadiums. Vinij added that the stadium would serve as a benchmark to bring Thailand’s stadiums up to international standards.
The Fresh Air executive said preparations for the upcoming July 12 soccer match are almost complete. Manchester United players and staff are expected to arrive in Thailand on July 9, while most of Liverpool’s players and staff are expected to arrive on July 10. Vinij also reassured fans that both teams have confirmed that the majority of the players will participate in the exhibition match, depending on their physical condition.
