Phu Kradueng National Park Set to Reopen October 1st

Phu Kradueng National Park, a renowned natural jewel of Thailand, is gearing up to welcome visitors once again, with the reopening scheduled for October 1st, following a four-month seasonal closure that commenced on June 1st.

The purpose of this annual closure during the rainy season is to afford the natural environment a period of rejuvenation and reduce the potential for accidents. To ensure a smooth and well-organized visit, tourists are strongly encouraged to register through the QueQ application, enabling advance bookings up to 60 days in advance.

For those intending to sojourn within the park’s precincts, securing a bungalow or tent reservation is imperative. Reservations can be easily secured by calling 042-810834 or visiting the official National Park Service website.

Ascending the mountain, which reaches an elevation of 1,315 meters above sea level, is a thrilling challenge for hikers. On weekdays, the ascent is permitted from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., while on weekends and public holidays, the climbing window extends from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., affording adventure enthusiasts ample time to conquer this natural wonder.

Encompassing a vast expanse of 217,576 rai of land (approximately 34,800 hectares), this national treasure showcases a breathtaking sea of mist, a mild climate, and a rich array of flora and fauna. Phu Kradueng’s landscape is adorned with towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, verdant fields, and pristine forests, all contributing to its allure as a natural wonder.
