Power Corridors Stirred by PM’s Wife’s Academic Pursuit

In a recent development, Dr. Pakpilai Thavisin, wife of Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, has enrolled in the esteemed College of Politics and Governance at King Prajadhipok’s Institute (KPI). Dr. Thavisin, a notable figure in the medical field at Bumrungrad International Hospital, secured her place in the program’s 28th class, ranking 81st among selected students.

Candidates gaining entry into this exclusive academic circle come from diverse professional backgrounds spanning 16 categories. The latest class welcomes parliamentarians from various political factions, including stalwarts from the ruling Pheu Thai Party and the Move Forward Party, alongside corporate figures like Charlee Balmongkol from Thai Oil Plc and Cherdchai Boonchoochauy from PTT Plc.

Additionally, Prime Minister Srettha is gearing up for an extensive diplomatic tour across France, Italy, and Japan to strengthen international ties and attract investment to Thailand. His agenda includes a visit to France from May 15 to 16, followed by trips to Italy and Japan from May 17 to 24.

In other news, the passing of political activist Netiporn Sanesangkhom has sparked public outrage, shedding light on the justice system’s treatment of detainees. Prime Minister Srettha expressed his condolences to Netiporn’s family, acknowledging the significance of the issue.
