Jetstar Asia has unveiled a new addition to its flight network, launching a route from Singapore to Krabi, a popular resort destination in southern Thailand. This new route, introduced on June 7, 2024, adds over 60,000 seats annually, enhancing travel connectivity between the two destinations.
The inaugural flight, 3K573, departed Singapore Changi Airport at 7:32 AM local time (6:32 AM Thailand time) and landed in Krabi at 7:52 AM after a swift one-hour-and-20-minute journey. Operated by an Airbus A320-200 (registration 9V-JSQ), the return flight, 3K574, left Krabi at 8:55 AM and arrived in Singapore at 11:31 AM.
Jetstar Asia’s fleet, consisting of ten Airbus A320-200s, regularly services various Asian destinations. The same aircraft has recently flown to Bali, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Haikou, and Phnom Penh, showcasing the airline’s extensive network.
This Krabi route marks the first of three new services Jetstar Asia is launching in June. CEO John Simeone expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting Thailand’s popularity among travelers. “Adding beautiful Krabi to our network alongside Bangkok and Phuket is fantastic. Our low fares make it easier than ever for travelers to enjoy all Krabi has to offer,” said Simeone.
The new service operates six times weekly with a varied schedule. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, flight 3K571 departs Singapore at 8:10 PM, returning as flight 3K572 from Krabi at 9:40 PM, arriving in Singapore at 12:30 AM the next day. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, flight 3K573 leaves Singapore at 7:20 AM, arriving in Krabi at 8:10 AM. The return flight 3K574 departs Krabi at 8:50 AM, landing in Singapore at 11:40 AM.
As part of its broader expansion, Jetstar Asia is also resuming its Singapore to Clark International Airport route in the Philippines on June 16, 2024. This service will start with four weekly return flights, increasing to five in October, offering both morning and evening options.
Representatives from Jetstar Asia, Simple Flying, and other industry officials attended the launch event, underscoring the significance of this expansion for regional travel.
