Starting in China on 19 November 2024, the rally entered Thailand via Mukdahan on 22 November and features 45 vehicles and 120 participants. The delegation’s route covers provinces such as Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Ayutthaya, and Surat Thani, with tourism activities fostering local economic growth.

A highlight of the journey was the reception in Nakhon Ratchasima on 3 December, where participants enjoyed a Bai Sri Su Kwan welcoming ceremony, traditional Isaan music, and folk dances, providing an authentic cultural experience.

TAT’s East Asia Region Director, Mr. Chuwit Sirivachkul, emphasized the rally’s role in diversifying tourism and strengthening ties under the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative. With Chinese arrivals exceeding 6.2 million in 2024, initiatives like this align with Thailand’s goal of attracting 7.3 million Chinese visitors by year-end.
