English Tutor Killed by Train During TikTok Livestream

At 8:15 a.m. on December 18, 2014, authorities responded to a fatal accident involving a train at Chulalongkorn Bridge Station in Ratchaburi Municipality. A 51-year-old man, identified as Mr. Wirot of Bangkok, was struck by a train traveling from Prachuap Khiri Khan to Thonburi and dragged more than 100 meters.

Police investigator Pol. Lt. Phusanisa Chanratcha of Ratchaburi City Police Station coordinated with rescue workers and medical personnel to examine the scene. The victim’s body was found severely mutilated, with remains scattered in multiple directions. Rescue teams carefully gathered the body parts, including limbs and the skull, before transporting them for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death.

According to the victim’s wife, Ms. Wanwadi, 49, Mr. Wirot had a habit of live-streaming his travels on social media. On the morning of the incident, he cycled to the railway bridge after accompanying his daughter to school. Ms. Wanwadi received a call from the police shortly after, informing her of the tragic accident.

Mr. Wirot was an English tutor who taught online from home. Investigators are continuing to gather witness statements and examine the circumstances surrounding the accident to establish the exact cause of the incident.
