On December 19, 2014, a black female dog trapped in a pond for several days was rescued by the Udon Thani Foundation for the Promotion of Dharma, bringing a joyful reunion with her two puppies.
The incident took place at a fish-raising pond belonging to the Udon Thani Fisheries, located on Tham Chedi Road, Mak Khaeng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province. The mother dog was found standing in the water, visibly exhausted but hopeful.
Using a cable, the rescuers carefully lifted the frightened dog from the pond. Nearby, her two puppies—one white and one brown—watched closely, their wagging tails and howls seemingly encouraging the rescuers and expressing gratitude.
Once the rescue was complete, the emotional reunion between the mother and her puppies deeply moved the rescue team. The puppies joyfully howled and wagged their tails as they embraced their mother, celebrating her safe return.
This touching rescue story highlights the dedication of the Udon Thani rescue team, who narrowly avoided harm themselves while saving the stranded dog. Their efforts ensured that a precious life was saved, leaving a lasting impression on all involved.
