Foreigner Dies After Motorcycle Collision in Pattaya

On December 24, 2014, at around noon, the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Unit in Pattaya responded to a motorcycle collision near Pattaya Arunothai School in Nongprue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The accident involved two motorcycles and resulted in three injuries, including one individual in critical condition.

Upon arrival, rescue teams found a foreign man, estimated to be 65-70 years old, lying in a pool of blood on the road while officers performed CPR. The man had sustained severe lacerations across his body. Two other injured individuals were nearby, one with a dislocated left shoulder and another with an injured right arm. All three were transported to Pattaya City Hospital for medical attention.

According to a statement from one of the injured, 25-year-old Mr. Prawit, he had been riding a motorcycle with his girlfriend when the accident occurred. He reported that the foreign motorcyclist, traveling at high speed towards the Big C Pattaya Central intersection, swerved to avoid a woman’s motorcycle. This maneuver caused him to lose control and veer into Mr. Prawit’s lane, resulting in a violent head-on collision.

Despite efforts to save him, medical personnel confirmed that the foreign man succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted to the hospital. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to determine the precise cause of the accident and will proceed with any necessary legal actions based on their findings.
