State-run Transport Company is set to launch a new first-class bus service connecting Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports to the popular tourist destinations of Hua Hin and Pattaya, starting March 8, 2024. The initiative aims to provide travelers with a convenient and affordable transportation option, catering to both domestic and international visitors.
The service will operate four daily round trips between Don Mueang Airport and Pattaya, covering a distance of 162 kilometers per trip. Each journey is expected to take approximately two and a half hours, with a fare set at 155 baht. Similarly, two daily round trips will connect Don Mueang Airport to Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, spanning 216 kilometers. For passengers traveling from Suvarnabhumi Airport, four daily round trips will be available to Pattaya. This route covers 127 kilometers and takes around two hours, with tickets priced at 122 baht.
Tickets for the new bus services will be available for purchase at the passenger terminals of both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports. The introduction of these routes is expected to enhance connectivity and support tourism in the region, offering a reliable alternative to private transport options.
Managing Director Atthawit Rakchamroon announced the details of the service on Tuesday, emphasizing its potential to benefit both local commuters and international travelers. The move aligns with broader efforts to improve public transportation infrastructure in Thailand, particularly in key tourist areas.
