A prominent male teacher in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, previously recognized for his outstanding contributions to education, has been detained by the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) on allegations of sexually abusing multiple schoolboys, some as young as ten years old. The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, is accused of repeatedly assaulting his victims, recording the acts, and sharing the content on social media platforms.
The investigation was initiated after a 17-year-old victim, accompanied by his parents, came forward to testify against the teacher. The young man revealed that the abuse began during his elementary school years in Kui Buri district and continued as he grew older. He recounted being lured to the teacher’s residence, where the alleged assaults took place. The victim admitted that he was unaware of the abuse at the time due to his age and lack of understanding of such predatory behavior.
According to police reports, the teacher has reportedly confessed to sexually abusing his students in various locations, including the school’s classroom and library. He allegedly used his smartphone to capture images and videos of the acts and offered monetary rewards to the victims in an attempt to silence them. The CCIB is currently reviewing digital evidence and conducting further interviews to build a comprehensive case.
The case has sparked outrage in the local community, raising concerns about child safety in educational institutions. Authorities have urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to prevent further incidents.
The investigation is ongoing, with officials from the CCIB and local law enforcement working closely to ensure justice for the victims. The teacher remains in custody as the case progresses.
