In 2025, Thai passport holders will be able to visit 36 countries without requiring a visa, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The updated list, which outlines varying lengths of stay, is expected to facilitate international travel for Thai tourists.
Under the new arrangement, Thailand’s visa-free destinations include Georgia, which allows a 365-day stay, and Panama, permitting a 180-day visit. Several countries, such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, South Korea, Peru, and Albania, offer Thai travellers a 90-day visa-free entry. Kyrgyzstan provides a 60-day exemption.
For shorter stays, 30-day visa-free access will be available in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Malaysia, the Maldives, the Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Tajikistan, Turkey, Vanuatu, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, Japan allows a 15-day visit, and 14-day exemptions apply to Cambodia, Brunei, Myanmar, Taiwan, and Bahrain.
The initiative aims to expand travel opportunities and streamline international movement for Thai citizens. The changes were reported by Daily News, with officials highlighting the potential benefits for tourism and cultural exchange.
